INTRODUCTION:

Diarrhea typically indicates a digestive tract infection, which can be brought on by a number of bacterial, viral, and parasitic pathogens. Infections can spread from person to person as a result of poor hygiene or through tainted food or drinking water.

Types of DIARRHEA:

There are three types of diarrhea.
1: Bacterial diarrhea: Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, fever, diarrhea, abdominal cramping, and pain. in some critical cases, dehydration and electrolyte imbalance. And sometimes treated with antibiotics.
2: Viral diarrhea: Viral gastroenteritis, commonly referred to as the stomach flu, is most commonly contracted by consuming tainted food or drink or by coming into contact with an infected person.
Symptoms include watery diarrhea, stomach cramps, nausea or vomiting, and some patients have a fever. 
3:Parasitic diarrhea: symptoms include stomach cramps, bloating, nausea, and bouts of watery diarrhea.

INVESTIGATION:

. Blood test (CBC, serum electrolyte, RFTS).
.Stool RE.
.Endoscope.
.Colonoscope.
. Hydrogen breath test.

TREATMENT:

You might not need to take anything if your condition is minor. Adults can use over-the-counter medications such as loperamide or bismuth subsalicylate, which are available as tablets or liquids. You must also maintain your hydration. A minimum of six 8-ounce glasses of fluid should be consumed daily
